Hours of Operation
Business Hours: Our business hours have not changed due to Covid-19. We are still available for all questions and communications.
Event Hours: Our event hours have changed. In accordance with the Emergency Order of Local Health Officer Section 4d, subsection ii, in regards to Banquet Halls: Close their premises, including all outside seating areas and patios to customers, no later than 12:00am (Midnight).
Appointments & Showings
We are currently still accepting all appointments and showings for the hall and your event. For our protection and yours, we are fully ventilating the building by opening all doors and windows prior to your arrival. Our staff will have masks on at all times during our meeting, provide hand sanitizer and maintain social distancing standards throughout the meeting. We request all attendees to wear masks, if you do not have a mask we can provide one for you.
Travel Restrictions
Kansas is requiring some guests to quarantine for 14 days upon entering Kansas if certain conditions are met. The list is updated every two weeks and can be found on the Kansas Department of Health and Environment website. For your reference, the link is below.

Masks & Face Coverings
Indoors: Douglas County Health Department requires all individuals to wear masks unless the individual is seated.
Outdoors: Douglas County Health Department requires all individuals to wear masks if within 6 ft of other individuals excluding infrequent moments of closer proximity such as picture taking.

Procedures
We are committed to hosting your event in the safest way possible to protect our clients, guests and staff.
During your Event: We are limiting our staff’s access to the building during your event. We will communicate via walkie-talkie and only enter the building when necessary. As Stony Point Hall staff have the potential to interact with many guests per weekend, we feel it is safest for everyone involved to limit exposure as much as possible.
Cleaning Procedure Between Events: All commonly touched surfaces such as door handles, equipment, tables, chairs, bathroom facilities and floors are cleaned thoroughly with disinfectant. Back to back events will additionally be steam cleaned with our VX5000 industrial steamer, which has an operating temperature of 240~270 degrees.
Client Responsibilities: All client responsibilities remain unchanged with the exception of linens. We do request that you place all linens in the linen bags provided.
Occupancy Limitations & Mass Gatherings
According to the Emergency Order issued on February 19th, 2021 by the Douglas County Health Department, our current occupancy limitation is set as follows:
Indoors: 50% of the lowest occupancy load on the certificate of occupancy. Lowest occupancy load on certificate of occupancy is 299. We can therefore allow 149 individuals inside of the building.
Outdoors: 200
As of November 20, 2020 the Health Officer released by the Douglas County Public Health Department states:
4. Business Restrictions:
a. All businesses must comply with the following:
i. Maintain at least 6 feet of distance between customers or groups of customers (“Social Distancing Requirement”);
ii. Follow fundamental cleaning and public health practices detailed on covid.ks.gov; and
iii. Avoid any instances in which groups of more than 10 individuals are in one location and unable to maintain a 6-foot distance with only infrequent or incidental moments of closer proximity.
b. All businesses in operation should follow industry-specific guidelines as provided on covid.ks.gov. Following any additional best practice guidance from each business sector is strongly encouraged.
c. Unless otherwise noted in this order, the following venues are restricted:
i. Entertainment venues, including: auditoriums; arenas; banquet halls; cinemas; conference centers; concert halls; performance venues; sporting venues; community centers; stadiums; theaters casinos; night clubs; and adult entertainment;
ii. Recreational facilities and places of public amusement, including: gyms, fitness and recreational centers; amusement parks; arcades; bingo halls; bowling alleys; and clubs;
iii. Parties, informal gatherings, lectures, meetings, parades, fairs, festivals, sporting events, and performances.
d. Venues listed in subsection 4(c) above are restricted as follows and must:
i. Limit the number of individuals (staff and customers) in the facility, building
or room to 50 percent of the lowest occupancy load on the certificate of
occupancy of the facility, building or room, in which the gathering is
occurring; or, if the gathering is occurring outside a facility, then the gathering
shall be limited to 200 people; provided, however, the Social Distancing
Requirement must be adhered to at all times both inside or outside the facility;
ii. Close their premises, including all outside seating areas and patios to customers, no later than 12:00 a.m.(midnight);
iii. Close all dance floors (the dance floor may be repurposed for table seating);
iv. Close all buffet service;
v. Require all food and beverage to be consumed by patrons while seated;
vi. Except for the recreational facilities defined in subsection 4(c)(ii) above and
the activities described in subsection 4(c)(iii) above, require all patrons to
remain seated at all times when not entering/exiting the venue or visiting a
restroom facility; and
vii. Require a face mask to be worn by all staff and any patron not seated at a
table, when seated at a table not actively eating or drinking, and when
interacting with establishment staff.

What are my options?
We have carefully deliberated and have come up with several solutions to accommodate our brides. We understand the hardships our brides are facing at this time and hope we can work with each one to provide a favorable solution. Please call us at 785-594-2225 to discuss the options available to you.
Do you provide masks?
We encourage all guests to come prepared with masks. In instances of emergency of if a guest is unable to bring their own mask we may be able to provide one for you. We are doing our best to have a supply of single-use disposable masks available to our guests as we can acquire them. Due to demand and limitations, we cannot guarantee we will have masks available for your event.
Do you provide hand sanitizer?
We do not provide hand sanitizer.
What are the risks for my reception?
We have been referring to the Risk Assessment Tool provided by Georgia Tech which shows the risk percentage for attending an event per the size of the event. The tool is updated daily and can be viewed here:
